Arduino MKR NB 1500, based on the narrow band NB-IoT standard, is an IoT development board with wireless connectivity. The NB-IoT communications technology utilizes the existing LTE cellular networks and provides significantly faster communications than alternative IoT networks such as LoRa and Sogfox, while also having a low impact on battery consumption. In addition, compared to typical GSM and 3G cellular connectivity, its wake up time and connections are much faster, which enables significant power saving.
TheMKR NB 1500 is powered by a Microchip Technology SAMD21 Cortex-M0 32-bit low power ARM MCU andfeatures the Arduino MKR footprint, ensuring that it isfully compatible with the Arduino Uno, Mega, and existing MKR boards. The MKR NB 1500 offers a wide range of available interfaces, including I2S, I2C, UART and SPI.The Board operates at3.3V and offers 22 digital I/Os, 12 PWM outputs, and 7 analog inputs. Besides, it comes with ECC 508 crypto chip that effectively assures the security in communication process.
This Arduino MKR NB 1500 is the perfect choice for devices in remote locations without an Internet connection, or in situations where power isn available, such as field monitoring systems, intelligent parking, home and commercial intruder and fire alarm.
1.The MKR NB 1500 has to be used with an antenna that can be attached to the board with the micro UFL connector. For best result, do not attach the antenna to a metallic surface like car chassis, etc.
2.Do not power the board with more than the operating voltage 3.3V.
